The military emphasizes and instills various values, with leadership being the most significant and constant across all branches. The Cultural Leadership Luncheon will feature a speaker from the Armed Forces that has displayed exemplary leadership qualities as a service member and as a civilian.
Tuesday, November 8

The purpose of this luncheon is to show our appreciation to IUPUI’s student, faculty, and staff veterans. The luncheon will also build camaraderie among all veterans across IUPUI’s campus. There will be a speaker from a veteran within the IUPUI community and a table to honor Prisoners of War (POWs).

Collecting hygiene items for homeless veterans
The Homeless Veterans Assistance Foundation (HVAF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to eliminating homelessness for veterans. They provide supportive, structured housing to Indiana veterans with the assistance necessary to ensure successful independent living in the community. This is a chance for IUPUI's students, faculty, and staff to give to those, specifically veterans, whom are less fortunate.
Thursday, November 10

The objective of the training is to educate faculty and staff on what a "veteran" is and the issues they face when transitioning and integrating onto college campuses. The training will highlight some of the many campus resources for veterans. Additionally, experts from VA Roudebush Hospital will identify things civilian should be aware of when working with students and colleagues who are veterans.

Be the first to experience Modern Warfare 3, which will be released on Nov 8th! Vets@IUPUI student organization will be hosting a tournament open to anyone on campus. There is a $5 entry fee that will be used to increase services and events provided by the student group.
Friday, November 11
8:00AM – 10:30AM & 12:00PM – 5:00PM | Campus Center Atrium (in front of Barnes & Noble @ IUPUI)
The National Remembrance Day Roll Call will take place on November 11th (11-11-11) to honor those that have given their all in the Global War on Terrorism. Students, faculty, staff, and veteran supporters will read off the names of over 6000 Iraq and Afghanistan war casualties. These names will be read simultaneously with other institutions across the nation and it will take over 6 hrs. There will be a pause at 11am Pacific Standard Time to honor the fallen.
